Workshop Recruitment are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated Business Development Executive to come into focus on developing new business relationships. Our office is based on the outskirts of Portsmouth in Drayton and following a successful 2020 despite a global pandemic we are looking to continue our growth over the next 12 months. We are a forward-thinking company that are looking for people that will want to grow with us. This role will be focused predominantly on New Business Development, as well as lapsed accounts and some PR work. You will work under our Business Development Manager and work alongside them on new accounts and recapture lapsed business.

This role has the option to be full time or part time, minimum hours per week would be 25 hours per week.

Duties

  • Responsible for identifying and contacting clients by telephone
  • Expected to identify and qualify new vacancies as they come in
  • Secure client meetings where necessary
  • Once you secure new clients you will be required to work with your colleagues to ensure that their requirements are met.
  • Be comfortable cold calling and have the drive to hunt down business development leads and convert them in to revenue opportunities.
  • Have input into marketing activities, social, blogs, content etc.

Skills and Experience

  • Be a self-starter who knows how to identify potential customers and create a client prospect list.
  • Understand sales lead generation and be able to qualify prospects in to genuine client leads.
  • Have expertise in cold calling and in information probing to establish key contacts and client needs.
  • Be skilled at objection handling, listening skills, client retention and rapport building.
  • Have excellent Negotiation skills
  • Be proficient at meeting KPI’s
  • Possess good organisational skills
  • Knowledge and experience of working within recruitment / staff resourcing sector will be a distinct advantage.
  • Minimum 2-year track record working in sales or new business development
