Internal Sales Executive
£20K basic salary £30K OTE

In this role you will be responsible for developing opportunities for the direct sales team within the business. You will deliver highly qualified and relevant opportunities into the correct channels within the company. It is important you maintain and manage internal and external relationships.
This role would fit both those with appointment generation/ sales experience with the desire to progress or a confident self-starter who is looking for a business to drive them to a desired field sales position.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work with a database of potential customers, building strong relationships and developing qualified appointments/ small margin sales. This will involve both maximizing opportunities and selling into specific audiences
  • To identify, target and sign contracts with new smaller business opportunities as and when appropriate
  • To allocate, fairly appointments into the appropriate direct sales stream for the business
  • To build relationships with businesses in order to consistently develop appointments and keep communication streams open for future relationships.
  • To ensure that the company`s proposition is properly presented and you regularly explore all opportunities with a prospect across all company products and services.
  • To communicate effectively with various different areas in the business in a confident and transparent way.
  • To maintain an awareness of the prevailing UK market conditions and competitive landscape and to exploit any opportunities arising from this knowledge.
  • To be an active and positive member of the company`s sales team, contributing to ideas, projects and the development of colleagues at all times.
  • To hit appointment and margin targets as set.
  • To report and forecast accurately on opportunities.


Person Specification

  • Educational qualifications
  • General education to `A` level standard, including GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English Language.
  • Numerate and literate to a very high standard.
  • Influencing skills to a level demonstrated by practical examples of achieving `buy in` to services/products offered, without having authority over the other party.
  • Ability to develop relationships with ease and work as a team player
  • PC skills to intermediate level
  • Must demonstrate the ability to thrive in a climate of rapid change and to achieve long term margin streams through appointment generation and identification of opportunities for the company.
  • Must be a self-starter in terms of allocating time, which will in turn drive new margin streams from new businesses
  • As the role is weighted toward new business accurate use of a CRM is a must.
  • Successful candidates will be an enthusiastic team player with the drive and determination to succeed and progress through the business.
