Account Manager / Commercial Executive : Food and Retail

The successful candidate`s main responsibilities will be to assist the Commercial Managers in driving and managing key customer relations. An ideal candidate will be full of enthusiasm, who sees every challenge as an opportunity with a passion for food and retailing. You will be ambitious to learn, develop skills and knowledge with the aim of taking on responsibility own retailer accounts.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the delivery of sales to beat financial targets set by the board strategy.
  • Delivery of key performance indicators relating to cost control, customer service and business growth aspirations.
  • Review of processes to ensure that our service always meets the expectations of our customers.
  • Proactively identify and manager the delivery of the commercial strategies and optimise the financial targets with each customer as set by the board.
  • In tandem with the National Commercial Manager, negotiate new business and maintain existing arrangements achieving the most favourable terms and conditions, whilst ensuring long term relationships are maintained.
  • Research the market to ensure that we are always anticipating change and ahead of our competitors keeping with the agreed strategies.
  • Research new opportunities, concepts and ideas to ensure that the board is appraised of the latest innovations and business opportunities with a view to profit maximisation.
  • Develop and foster good working relationships with all other internal business functions.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Willingness to learn.
  • Interested in fast paced business.
  • Interest and love of food
  • Desire to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Understands the sectors and finds ways to influence its success.
  • Be well organised and gets things done with drive, enthusiasm and commitment.
  • Experience of using market information to build a business case.
  • Understand we`re not a 9 till 5 business.


Personal Qualities:

  • High achiever, focused and target driven.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A self-starter who can drive their own agenda and make things happen


Working hours:
Monday to Friday -
08.30am : 5pm Mon-Thurs
08.30am : 4pm Fri
