Our client whose products are famous all around the world with varied ranges and exciting new additions being added, has continued to grow rapidly in both the UK and Europe markets from their headquarters in Portsmouth. The Head of Sales Operations is responsible for ensuring that the office sales and administration team deliver the highest levels of Customer Satisfaction, focusing on client satisfaction, physical stock allocation, revenue optimisation and account growth. By analysing data, processes and cross referencing this with the company's growth strategy, you will critically evaluate the performance of the department, promoting continual improvement and finding ways to enhance the Customer Service experience across all channels.

You must be able and comfortable to work on your own initiative but also work well as part of a team and as a senior manager, as this role will have an impact on all departments and the overall business so fantastic interpersonal and influencing skills are essential!

Core Duties:

  • All aspects of people management for a small team including recruitment (with HR support), training on new products launches/accounts, appraisals, team meetings and performance management where necessary
  • Analysing the team’s performance and processes ensuring that every aspect of account management is understood correctly, compiling list of queries for buyers, creating label/delivery paperwork templates and getting approval from buyers
  • Ensuring delivery or packing requirements utilise our standard cost-effective packaging. Liaising with Warehouse Manager/Stock Control team for anything bespoke
  • Review customer forecasts, updating systems and reserving stock, if necessary, to advise if timelines can be achieved
  • Working alongside the Stock team, Chairman and Sales Director to ensure stock levels can support order activity at all times. Able to provide creative solutions if stock is oversold/delayed and communicating these clearly to all relevant personnel
  • Ensure the correct price points and reviews are in place for various accounts
  • Effectively and promptly managing complaints from Customers and any issues that arise regarding service/process/stock and dealing with to a satisfactory end
  • Main point of contact for external customers to arrange window displays/stock, haulage and display companies and licensors

Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience working in a senior leadership position with responsibility for Customer Services
  • Significant experience of successfully implementing Customer Service improvements
  • A Customer Experience mindset with a determination to exceed customers' expectations at every opportunity
  • A clear and supportive manager with a track record of developing and managing teams to deliver their highest performance levels
  • Self-starter with initiative and drive
  • Strong attention to detail

Working hours

Full-time – Monday to Friday

Salary

£37,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
