Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive repair and maintenance services for a wide range of vehicles, plant, and machinery. They specialise predominantly in Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs). Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintenance, and repair of all types of petrol and diesel engine vehicles, plant, and machinery, with a focus on HGVs.
  • Conduct regular, cyclical safety and roadworthiness inspections, including MOT preparations.
  • Diagnose vehicle defects using diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform general repairs and major overhauls or replacements of engines and gearboxes.
  • Attend vehicle breakdowns and conduct necessary roadside repairs.
  • Carry out automotive electrical work.
  • Perform gas and electrical welding.
  • Undertake any other tasks related to the repair and maintenance of HGVs, plant, and machinery.

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of the transport industry.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working on HGVs and/or LGVs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Capability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills and time management.
