As SEO Strategist you will create and deliver a strong, well aligned technical SEO strategy that promotes the organic search visibility across multiple international websites. This role establishes, maintains and communicates best practice with the purpose of growing organic traffic.

Duties of SEO Strategist

  • Management of organic performance of web sites in all territories
  • Identify SEO risks and opportunities for the Group`s websites.
  • Working closely with the ecommerce product owners, UX and UI teams to prioritise, brief tickets and guide IT delivery on opportunities.
  • Provide best practice advice microsites
  • Ensures organic best practices and search engine guidelines are adopted across the business to maximise organic search visibility.
  • Ownership of website optimisation plans for both brands, including, but not limited to;
    • Website architecture (such as structure, canonicals, href lang)
    • Maximising the indexation of core pages (sitemaps, navigation, hierarchy)
    • Reduce the volume of duplicate pages across the sites
    • Work with wider teams to ensure site speed is within guidelines
    • Mobile considerations across all optimisation opportunities
  • Work with e-commerce / IT teams in both brands to deliver plan
  • Performance is measured against, Total organic sessions, Total organic revenue, Organic market share and Customer Growth


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Excellent communicator
3+ years organic experience, preferably in multi-site enterprise role as a SEO Strategist
Strong analytics skills (experience of using Google Analytics is an advantage)
Ability to work on and deliver a number of projects at any one time
Ability to create and deliver marketing plans
Interest and knowledge on online sports market is desirable
Be able to work effectively with minimal direction
Experience of working across multiple SEO tools
Knowledge of international SEO (experience of working in international SEO is desirable)
Co-ordinate and lead non direct team
Understand and communicate with non-marketing teams
Be able to explain and educate complex technical issues and their importance to a non-technical audience
Confident analytical skills and commercial acumen
Analytical approach with the ability to interpret and manipulate performance data to make recommendations / optimise accordingly
Attention to detail
Confidence in reporting findings and opportunities to Senior Management
Identify and communicate trends, challenges and opportunities to shape the future of the business
Ability to educate team on organic best practices
Ability to make decisions in line with commercial goals of business
