Senior Internal Communications Manager

Kent

Full Time – Permanent

£60,000

Our client is looking for a passionate, driven and dynamic communicator to maximise people engagement and employer brand in line with vision, purpose, strategy, and values. This is an opportunity in a standalone role to have an active strategic focus to help strengthen and build on employer brand and collaborative culture to motivate and inspire our people.

Developing relationships with key stakeholders, you will be expected to travel to all our 8 offices regularly. As an enthusiastic and proactive communicator, you will be a confident self-starter who can demonstrate how you have made a difference within a business environment and the impact that you have had on engagement. You will have an outcome focused approach and great knowledge and experience in using a wide range of communication channels and platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who has the vision and experience to use effective communication to lead in driving change.

Main Duties

  • You will develop and deliver the internal communications strategy, translating complex issues into engaging communications that help our colleagues feel informed, engaged and inspired.
  • Alongside reactive messages, you’ll create plans for proactive messaging that adds value and deepens our people’s understanding of our vision, purpose, and our strategic priorities.
  • You’ll create and manage communications plans that help to deliver the vison of the firm and that support and demonstrate our values and purpose. This will range from encouraging the adoption of new systems and processes, changes driven by our employee engagement survey, and also working with teams across the firm to drive forward other initiatives such as equality, diversity and inclusion and wellbeing, as well as crafting talking points and video scripts for senior leaders, creating videos, podcasts and hosting internal webinars and events.
  • You’ll work closely with teams across the firm including HR, Marketing and BD, Wellbeing and Sports and Social to ensure communications are joined up and we can maximise the impact.
  • You’ll produce, write and distribute written, visual and audio communications and content and deliver through a variety of communication methods, using digital communications channels and intranet, and will analyse communications metrics to provide insights to refine communications approaches.
  • You’ll design and oversee new starter inductions, ensuring employees are equipped with the information they need to understand the brand and the way we work to be their most productive.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Previous experience in a leadership internal communications role
  • Alongside having excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to present information in clear, concise, and compelling ways you will also have excellent organisational and planning skills and be confident building relationships and providing a fresh approach to existing communication and engagement methods.
  • With a digital mindset you know how to get the very best out of various channels and platforms — from straightforward emails through to intranet posts, MS Teams and video content you will either know your way around platforms or be keen to learn and keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technology.
  • Full UK Driving licence and be happy to travel between sites
