We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced communications professional to join our client based in Havant. Dependent upon skills and experience, we envisage this role will require a commitment of around 24 hours per week, but this is flexible and would be discussed further with suitable applicants.


Reporting to the Group Executive Manager, you will:

  • Build and enhance the company reputation through pro-active and reactive public relations activities.
  • Be a trusted advisor for senior management, anticipating issues and sharing advice, best practice and insight; following current events within the industry and suggesting new ideas.
  • Have a flair for creating effective and engaging external communication strategies and an eye for seeking out great stories and content.
  • Be a first point of contact for media enquiries.
  • Ensure there are unified messages on all our media, digital PR & social media channels.
  • Plan and monitor social media activity.
  • You`ll continuously evaluate and report on the impact and effectiveness of communication channels and activity.
  • Write, proof-read and edit communications to ensure we are meeting company requirements.
  • Produce the Company newsletter.
  • Manage the response to `crisis` situations and contribute to the business continuity and crisis communications plans
  • Assist with our compliance to GDPR.

You will require:

  • Excellent proven communication skills both written and verbal and attention to detail
  • ability to convey technical or complex information simply, effectively and creatively.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate an innovative and problem-solving approach to issues
  • Knowledge and understanding of editing, artwork and design
  • Excellent time management and able to work to strict deadlines
  • Flexibility to support business needs e.g. willingness to travel, attend occasional evening events and be on call in the event of any crisis situations
  • Educated to degree level (English or PR preferred however not essential)

Flexible on days and times as long as hours are covered
