Our client is engaged in SMT, wiring and box builds for various industries. They are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join their busy surface mount department. The Role will involve working within the complete flow of SMT production process, including off-line set up of machines, reeling up, operating automatic solder paste machines, configuring reflow & vapour phase machines.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying materials, inventory and setup of SMT machinery on and off-line.
  • Setup automated pasting equipment and run First Off Approval Processes.
  • Work with team to optimise setups, liaising with the Production Manager.
  • Profile materials, record and maintain consistent records.
  • Engage in maintenance of machinery and calibration.

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of SMT machinery operations.
  • Experience in profiling, solder reflow and vapour phase machinery is highly desirable.
  • An understanding of technical drawings, micro-electronic components, packages and ESD compliance.
  • The ability to analyse, communicate, record and convey technical information.
  • MSL and handling requirements of relevant materials.
  • Competence in IPC Standards and workmanship.
  • Basic Windows and Excel literacy.
