Our client is a ship management company and they are looking for a plant technician to carry out all equipment build, assembly and test in accordance with relevant drawings and specifications provided. To carry out both planned maintenance and defect rectification of all diving plant in the Southampton Branch.

Key responsibilities

• Embrace our clients safety culture, report all safety observations to avoid escalation of unsafe acts. Do not start work if you have not been briefed on the safe system of work that you are undertaking. • To work within our clients Health and Safety and Quality Management System

• To maintain weekly records to enable our clients Time master-based management system to be used in accordance with user’s manual.

• To ensure all UK profit centre Plant and Machinery based at Chandlers ford is maintained and defects rectified in accordance with our clients Quality Management System, Maintenance & Calibration Procedure.

• Carry out Equipment Builds in accordance with Equipment Build Work Instruction Manufacturing Process.

• To carry out trials and record required data of Manufactured Equipment in accordance Quality Management procedure and Equipment Build Procedure.

• Provide support for Operations as requested by line manager in workshop or on site.

• Maintain and PATTest all Southampton Workshop and Office Portable Electrical Equipment and associated cabling in accordance with current H & S regulations.

Qualification and Experience Required

• Have been trained and understand the requirements of our clients Planned Maintenance System.

• Possess a basic knowledge of hydraulic circuits, and diesel engine operation and maintenance.

• To hold appropriate qualification/certification to undertake PAT testing

• Be familiar with relevant current legislation

• Possess an in-date certificate for forklift operation
