We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Production Manager to join a fast-growing manufacturing team. Our client is a market leader, looking to hire a talented people manager who will be responsible for the output, processes and procedures of the Mouldshop area. The Mouldshop Production Manager will be a strong people manage who can develop, train and mentor staff and ensure the teams achieves the necessary business objectives

Main Duties:

  • Management of the Mouldshop processes and procedures to achieve right first time and implement appropriate controls.
  • Drive and monitor OEE improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Actively Monitor Project goals/objectives set for yourself and your team, once the project goals/objectives are established and agreed upon by all stakeholders, the Mouldshop Manager must actively monitor those goals to ensure that progress is made.
  • Ensuring that the shop floor has the necessary manpower, competence, skill, knowledge, to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Train and Mentor Staff: Effectively communicate the expectation levels and visions of the company to staff members, motivating, encouraging and train staff in a manner that results in high performance and general growth of the company whilst mentoring staff members to help them achieve set goals/objectives.
  • Ensure all Thrive training is completed by staff in a timely manner
  • Working with HR department - Drive sickness to a world class level working with your teams
  • Tracks KPI’s to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades.- OEE/Scrap/Quality
  • Optimizes productivity by using Lean principles
  • Scheduling plant, machine and equipment maintenance
  • Work alongside planners to ensure Capacity planning
  • Control of mould tool maintenance, breakdowns and repairs, liaising with external parties/ suppliers as necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness within controlled environments, including biocidal requirements

Skills and Knowledge

  • People management skills- health and safety/wellbeing
  • Lean Manufacturing principles- strong understanding/implementation experience
  • Injection Moulding and tooling experience
  • Excellent analytical and math skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
