Our client an automotive company based in Portchester, is looking to recruit a Customer Supply Planner.
£30K salary for day shift – could move to double day shift which would offer a shift enhancement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Continual review of incoming customer EDI to ensure incoming customer information can be translated.
Set up new customer static data in MFGPro.
Provide production control capability and support other activities to ensure the efficient and effective operation of customer demands.
Establish all resource requirements, including material and labour, to fulfil customer schedule requirements and co-ordinate with Manufacturing.
Continual review of customer schedules to ensure their integrity. Ensure any completed or obsolete requirements are removed from MFGPro.
To assist and carry out any actions regarding customs clearance.
Co-ordination of dispatch area for supply to customer.
Responsible for the finished goods and dispatch of customer product on routine vehicles minimising any risks of additional or special freight.
Control all customer finished goods stock in line with company inventory targets.
Fully integrate the MFGPro Workbench into the daily customer procedure.
Identify component part shortages from the MFGPro Workbench and communicate with the MP&L Supply Team.
Full customer liaison including short-shipment notification and recovery planning.
Daily internal communication of customer delayed parts with reason for missed shipment.
Responsibility for delivery performance to customer including internal monthly DPM.
Identify transport requirements for specific customer and where applicable arrange freight.
Planning and control of transport logistics (including special transport and required admin supporting spend) relating to customer requirements at minimal cost.
Fully support manufacturing and deal with any internal / external issues which effect the customer requirements.
Liaise with Customers and all internal departments regarding introduction / interchange ability of new parts and their status.
To support in the understanding/recovery and prevention of obsolete inventory were required
Ensure that you comply and adopt the 5S programme regarding the organisation of your work environment.
Support with the conformance and continual improvement of the company Quality Management System to IATF 16949, Environmental management system ISO14001, Occupational Health and safety management system ISO45001 and customer specific requirements within your process and job responsibilities.
Ensure understanding and compliance to the company’s latest Health and Safety policy, Environmental policy and Quality policy.

EXPERIENCE
Experience in material control/production planning environment
Manufacturing Process, Logistics, MRP and Supplier Management.
KNOWLEDGE
