Assembly and Repair Technician

Our client based in the Havant area requires an experienced Assembly and Repair Technician.

Summary of Position

Provide assistance with the processing, testing, fault finding and repairing of electromechanical equipment including PCB`s, low voltage DC motor drives and low voltage control panels. Reporting on the repair status and processing test reports accordingly.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receiving the returned electromechanical equipment, unpacking and processing to the correct zone.
  • Logging the equipment onto the database.
  • Carrying out visual inspections and testing the equipment in accordance with procedures.
  • Carrying out fault finding on the equipment.
  • Establishing how the equipment can be repaired and updating the inspection records accordingly.
  • Carrying out repairs and assembly to returned items as required.
  • Testing equipment.
  • Stripping down and salvaging items that are not economically repairable.
  • Working with the production team to assist with the assembly and test of electromechanical equipment.
  • Communicating with the Technical Team and completing procedures correctly so full traceability is maintained.
