Outpatients Manager

I am currently looking to recruit an experienced Outpatients Manager to join a dynamic Senior Management Team. The role would be working for the UK`s leading provider of private hospitals which perform some of the most complex surgeries in the UK. You can expect variety, challenges, job satisfaction and a professional team who will always support you.

The opportunity is based in a private hospital in Northwood, Greater London. The hospital is easily accessible on transport links as well as offering free onsite parking.
It is a Full-Time role, working 37.5 hours per week, paying £43,000.00
The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

The Hospital is a mid-sized and busy hospital that offers superb quality patient care. The Hospital has 42 beds, three theatres including a Minor Procedures Room, and offers Physiotherapy Services, Diagnostic Imaging and Consulting Rooms for procedures ranging from routine investigations to complex surgery; whilst also housing a leading Oncology ward that was refurbished in 2015.

The ideal applicant should meet the following criteria:

  • Extensive experience working in an acute hospital setting in a Senior Registered Nurse post or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within a Clinical Lead role within Outpatients.
  • Experience of customer care, including interacting with challenging customers and situations
  • Evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically, managerially, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration.
  • Registered Nurse Level 1 / Diploma / BSc in Nursing Studies


The duties of the role include

  1. To strategically plan the clinical services, responsible for day to day organisation and management of clinical departments. Providing clear direction and leadership to all clinical staff, whilst supporting the initiatives of the hospital.
  2. Taking responsibility to lead the department under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services.
  3. Responsible for the deployment, supervision and teaching of staff within the clinical area supporting the hospital management team in providing clinical leadership.
  4. The role is responsible for development, motivation and performance of all clinical staff, ensuring the achievement of CQC Standards as required for nursing services in an acute care hospital accepting planned and emergency surgical and medical admissions.
