Electrical Workshop / Service Technician

Full-time, Permanent (47.5 hours Mon-Fri)

An exciting and progressive opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Workshop / Service Technician.

Our client are the country's leading Construction hoist hire company, with a fleet of units and over 30 years of experience. The company also provide a range of specialised services within the hire industry including Site Equipment and Mobile Power Supply.

Our client covers a large geographical area from their base in Redhill, Surrey, providing their hoist hire services in London and its home counties. The company prides themselves on delivering exceptional customer experience, including prompt servicing and repairs of their hoists on site.

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop / Service Technician to join the team and further their career in the hoisting industry.

As part of your daily duties, you will become the primary person to attend site breakdowns. You will also work in the workshop, checking, servicing and maintaining hoists returned from hire. You will prepare hoists for hire following a check sheet and carrying out the necessary tests.

You will thrive on working in a fast-paced and demanding environment and be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions. You will be physically fit to carry out regular manual lifting.

Full training and a formal qualification route will be provided. Previous, extensive electrical experience is essential.

The company offer progression, competitive salary and benefits. In addition to paid overtime at 1.5 times' pay and private healthcare cover from probation completion, along with 28 days' holiday per year (including statutory holidays), PPE and all the necessary work tools.
