Our client`s growing engineering team requires a Workshop Engineer to build, test and inspect custom made containment equipment.

The Workshop Engineers role will be varied across the various stages of construction of the systems, but with focus on final fitting assembly and testing/calibrating prior to shipping.

They supply equipment worldwide so Engineers from time to time can be required to travel UK and worldwide, this could be applicable to the Workshop Engineer if open to it.

As our products can be completely custom there is a lot to learn day to day so the ideal candidate needs to be willing to learn and excited by that prospect.

Key skills

  • Attention to detail
  • QC internally made components and fully built systems prior to shipping
  • Ownership of build projects from start to finish
  • Be able to work alone and part of a team, to be able to follow instructions from the workshop manager
  • A knowledge of metal or plastic work would be handy but not essential.
  • Confident/competent with hand tools
