Quality Systems Manager

In this role you will champion excellence in all business processes, products and services and the use of quality tools to establish compliance to the Quality Management System and Supply Chain.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of the Quality Management System
  • Management representative reporting to senior leadership for Quality related issues that could potentially impact customer performance or compliance to the relevant standards withing the QMS
  • Maintain all work instructions and end user assessments for processes, ensuring that the agreed practice is reflected accurately in the Quality Management System.
  • Directly accountable for end-to-end business processes
  • Quality Systems Manager will act as the Quality / Environmental business process owner and have the ability to chair & drive meeting output at the leadership level.
  • Manage all changes in legislation for the requirements of the ISO9001 and 14001 standards.
  • Manage all 3rd parties audits and certifications including follow-up to closure of all related observations, improvements, major and minor non-conformance corrective and preventive action.
  • Manage the internal party audit program including follow-up to closure of all related observations, improvements, major and minor non-conformance corrective and preventive action.
  • Establish an integrated Quality Management System (H&S, Environmental and Quality)
  • Support “Sustainability” initiatives.
  • Liaising with customers’ auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and that compliance requirements with customers’ specifications are met.
  • Manage and maintain the quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components
  • Maintain and continually improve the vendor rating system with purchasing to include environmental, H&S and quality keys points along with Purchasing requirements.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Degree or equivalent Quality Professional qualification
  • Experience of having worked in an engineering or manufacturing position
  • Quality Management Systems knowledge
  • Strong auditing skills
  • Knowledge of ISO19001 and ISO14001 standards
  • Competence in the use of Microsoft Office, Outlook and ERP systems
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Excellent communicator
  • Change management experience
  • Good problem solving and decision making skills
  • Customer focussed
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Able to deliver results
