Fabricator/Welder

Our client has been established for over 40 years as a provider of steel fabrication, welding and structural engineering services. They cover contracts of all sizes, from tool sharpening to on-site structural steelwork for major shipping or construction projects. Due to the amount of ongoing work, they require a welder/fabricator to join the team on a long-term basis.

Fabricator Welder Duties

Minimum welder requirement MIG up to 12mm plate.

A weld test will be required before commencing employment.

Ability to read basic drawings and or instruction.

Plate burning using Oxy-Propane.

Familiar with use of grinders and basic hand tools.

Undertake any necessary training.

Preferred but not essential.

Siteworks assisting with installation and welding.

Full Driving Licence.

Occasional working away for short periods.

Able to work at MOD locations, Security screening required (Paid by ML UK)

Working hours

7.00 to 16.30

Morning break 10am to 10.15am

Lunch 13.00pm to 13.30pm

Overtime is available from 6am to 7am and 16.30pm to 17.30pm Mon to Fri.

Weekend working as required and availability.

All PPE is provided except boots which will be replaced FOC when required.
