Customer Service Co-Ordinator

Our client based on the outskirts of Portsmouth is looking for a Customer Service Coordinator to join a busy productive team. Alongside providing an excellent customer service also there is a lot of reporting involved, experience of Excel would be an advantage

The role has an interaction between Operations and the contact centre, so communication skills are also vital. You will speak with customers and investigate the reason for the failure of service, speaking with operations to finding resolutions and issuing / informing customers of handling charges which may apply as a result of the failure. Record and report any findings for senior management to investigate.

You will support call taking on behalf of the Contact Centre and provide general administrative support to the Operations team, helping to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership for managing and resolving issues, liaising with appropriate departments such as Operations / Sales teams to investigate and resolve issues
  • Ensure complaints are communicated to the relevant internal parties
  • Maintain relationships with all customers through managing difficult conversations, customer expectations, providing a solution and reinforcing the company’s policies
  • Record notes of actions taken or findings
  • Produce letters and emails and all other correspondence to customers, ensuring that records are maintained of all communications made
  • Contact Centre call answering when required ensuring a friendly and courteous manner is maintained at all times
  • Attempt to effectively upsell on all appropriate calls, establishing the customer’s needs and appropriately tailoring the promotion

Experience

  • Previous customer Service experience ideally within an office/ contact centre environment
  • Confident using MS Office and Excel in particularly
  • Communicate effectively between departments and by both written and verbal means

Working Hours

8am – 5pm Monday to Friday (one hour lunch break)
