You will be working in a contact centre environment, making and receiving calls from local authorities and as well as communicating with your own engineers. You will receive repair appointments over the phone, schedule and book appointments, record accurate repair appointment information on to the system. You will deal with engineers by sending them to works that need completing, recording job completion information on the system.

To succeed in this role, you will learn and understand the end-to-end process to ensure first class service to the customer and ensure their works are completed satisfactorily.

Key Duties

  • Ensure you understand your role in the end-to-end process of delivering maintenance works and repairs for the customer
  • Record accurate, timely and valuable information directly onto the system(s)
  • Ordering of materials for required maintenance and repairs
  • Instruct operatives who become available to jobs in the most efficient and effective
  • Escalate any issues to your line manager/supervisor, so they are resolved through to a conclusion.
  • Assist the team, Supervisors and Managers in recording data and key management information that helps and improves the service

Skills and Knowledge

  • First class telephone manner, maintaining professionalism at all times
  • Able to deal with lots of activity, taking calls, recording information, allocating resources – being able to multitask is key
  • Strong computer skills so you can learn new systems quickly, comfortable using MS Office
  • Strong data entry / typing skills, so you can accurately record information
  • Excellent communication skills – both with customers externally and colleagues internally
  • Be a team player, provide a great service and be dependable and flexible when needed
  • Any experience within construction and call centre / contact centre environment is desirable
