Workshop Recruitment are currently seeking a Planning Technician to join our client, an architectural practise based just north of Southampton.

The Planning Technician will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Responding to queries about the planning permission application process
• Collecting, analysing and recording data on the progress of planning permission applications
• Checking and researching legislation and laws relevant to planning
• Writing up reports for both internal and external publications
• Attending and taking minutes of meetings
• Meeting with property developers and other private clients to discuss how developments can be granted planning permission
• Negotiating amendments to proposed plans
• Preparing, revising and reading maps and technical drawings

Person spec:

• 3+ years’ experience within a planning role
• Experience of working with big contractors
• Used to dealing with planning for 50+ units on a full build cycle
• Car / motorbike driver as their office is not easily accessible via public transport

Package:

• £24,000 - £28,000 (depending on experience)
• 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
