Administration – Insurance Claims

Sitting within the Claims Department, you will undertake claims admin work in order to maintain a smooth and faultless customer journey. You will be expected to understand the claims process from start to finish, and contribute by entering claims onto the system, chasing missing information, and readying claims for assessment. A strong candidate will be able to successfully perform and achieve productivity targets whilst also adhering to the claims process; being able to self-motivate and demonstrate being a team player at the same time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing claims received and effectively handling all tasks in a timely manner in accordance with our Service Level Agreement
  • Contact customers and partners regarding for supporting/missing documentation for claims (written and phone)
  • Ensuring that high levels of customer service is offered through processing of accurate and timely information
  • Maintaining a consistent and energetic approach whilst building rapport with internal and external customer to establish customer relations
  • Develop and maintain a competent level of technical, product and system knowledge and be able to explain policy cover in line with terms and conditions
  • Where applicable, regulatory requirements are met
  • Understand business issues and recommend solutions to improve

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills and strong team player
  • Ability to multi-task
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong data entry and IT skills
  • Flexible attitude to work – willingness to take on new tasks
  • Ability to work on own initiative and remain motivated in a changing working environment

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of working in an administration or call centre / contact centre or customer service environment
  • Basic knowledge of insurance products and principles

Working Hours – 37.5 per week, 8.00am – 4.00pm
