Workshop Recruitment enjoys a strong relationship with Kenwood that spans decades thanks to mutual loyalty, commitment and trust, which has resulted in delivering hundreds of suitable hires. Over that time, the relationship has adapted to fit with Kenwood’s evolving business operations to meet changing recruitment needs.
Kenwood used to use Workshop Recruitment for all its recruitment requirements, both temporary and permanent. With a lack of resources, time and technology to organise recruitment themselves, Workshop Recruitment was consistently their first point of call.
A couple of years ago a new HR director changed the recruitment route for Kenwood, using LinkedIn to bring activity in house for permanent hires to save costs. As the business developed and changed, so has the way Workshop Recruitment works with Kenwood. Workshop Recruitment now primarily focuses on finding the ideal temp staff, taking care of the admin processes, but is still always on hand to help wherever needed to provide solutions such as finding candidates for the hard-to-find permanent roles, or helping out with temporary in-house hires.
Discussing this long working relationship with Lisa Sellers, HR Advisor for Kenwood, who states:
“Workshop Recruitment is very much my back up for tricky to fill roles, or when I’m having no joy filling a role internally. They also help with direct candidates, for example if we have someone we need for two months approach us, Pete will put them through Workshop Recruitment, sorting everything and paying them - that’s really helped us and has always been a great solution to a business challenge.”
Peter Hunt, Director at Workshop Recruitment manages the relationship with Kenwood and has been the point of contact for the duration. Having this personal, long-term contact is something that Kenwood feels heavily contributes to the success of the relationship.
“Pete has always been so helpful and I’ve always had that one-to-one contact with him that has been invaluable. Even if I’ve had a role with another agency, Pete will nine times out of ten be able to find the candidate because he knows the business so well. He also has a very honest approach, which we really appreciate. Workshop Recruitment has been so supportive and valuable over the years – we’ve always had a really good relationship and there is a lot of trust there”
