The time has come to say farewell and best wishes to Julia, who is leaving us after a long and successful career with Workshop Recruitment.
Julia Kirby has been with Workshop since 1996, focusing originally on increasing local business as a way to reduce the dependence on using our own fleet of vehicles to deliver and collect staff. Her visible success in this endeavour meant a significantly reduced fleet, eventually leading to no vehicles at all.
Julia continued to work in a business development role, but also began working with existing clients to ensure that relationships were further developed. Her ability to engage so well with both staff and customers ensured that she became well-known and highly respected, and she is recognised for bringing in many new clients across all sectors.
When the original owners of Workshop wanted to sell, Julia was one of the four staff who invested in the company and took it over. She has been an inspiring leader and always made herself available to listen, offer advice, and help solve any problem.
Three years ago, Julia decided that it was almost time to take a step away from the pressures of business ownership and to spend more time concentrating on her family. Those three years have flown by, and it is now time for Julia to begin the next phase in her life, which will ultimately lead to her relocation back to her roots in Yorkshire. We all understand Julia’s wish to take a step back from the demands of the 9-5, but we will definitely miss hearing her on the phone chatting to clients, promoting Workshop and our excellent team.
Her unfailing guidance and encouragement have helped many of us to learn and thrive in this industry and we’ve been so fortunate to have her expertise to rely on. What she has achieved in her working life and most notably with our company will leave quite the impact, and her bright and sunny presence in the office will be truly missed.
Julia is highly regarded by the directors, staff, and clients alike and has developed firm friendships both within the company and with many of our clients. Anyone who has had the pleasure of working with her over the past 25 years will be incredibly sad to see her go but like us will wish her all the very best.
