Estimator - Civils/Highways 

Overview

Our client has a challenging opportunity for an enthusiastic and self- motivated candidate to join their successful Portsmouth business to assist in securing capital highway work projects to compliment a long-term market leading highways PFI contract. The role offers excellent career development opportunities for the right candidate [Role could suit an intermediate Estimator looking for career progression]

Key criterion

• Candidate to have at least 5 years successful experience as an Estimator pricing highways projects [candidates with entirely build or utility based experience will not be suitable]
• Knowledge of South of England highways markets would be advantageous
• Excellent numeracy with good IT skills and familiarity with estimating systems – use of Causeway would be beneficial but not essential
• Must demonstrate ability to work collaboratively within an operational and commercial team
• Basic commercial awareness
• Ability to contribute towards innovative pricing strategies and solutions


The salary for this position is up to £40k per annum, depending upon the candidate. A Company car, defined benefits pension scheme and other benefits are also included within any employment package.
